About us
My name is Colin, and like many others during the COVID lockdown of 2020, it was a life changing moment. I realised I had an opportunity to venture into a new business to help the planet by helping ourselves first. We wanted to build a camper van, to venture off-grid for extended periods, without burning gas as a leisure fuel. So we sought lithium batteries for our power needs. The selection in the UK was both unsatisfactory and expensive. The existing providers had slow shipping times and questionable warranties.
First Steps
So we set up Beyond Batteries, to provide high grade, affordable, lithium leisure batteries to the camper market, store them locally in the UK, provide reliable warranties, an uncomplicated returns policy. With a view to the wider applications of this technology.
With assistance from my wife, Mieke, and friends Nick and Andy, we were fully established by early 2021 our flagship 100Ah battery was born and we were ready to take a big step forward.
Bigger and Better
With the initial success of our baby battery, we moved into bigger and better units. Our range expanded to batteries of 200Ah, 300Ah, 400Ah and 460Ah. Alongside the procurement of high power management systems, we moved towards a lithium battery built to power all household appliances.
During this time, we re-invested our capital and resources into new products and new innovations, moving into different markets and sectors to help decarbonise small businesses.
Batteries for Business
This phase of our business has become our core operation. Assisting businesses with their battery requirements to meet legislation, streamline operations, reduce their carbon footprint and move to a financially and planet friendly method of powering their business activities.
We work with our business partners to understand their needs, build bespoke solutions and proactively invent products for organisations before they even know they need it.
